Gabe Ikard and Teddy Lehman recap OU football’s 51-0 win over the UTEP Miners on September 4, 2026. The Oklahoma Sooners showcased their new look offense by playing nearly the entire game in 12 personnel (1 running back, 2 tight ends). QB John Mateer delivered a solid performance and the Sooners run game was solid even though it didn’t produce the number of explosive runs they want. Defensively, the Sooners gave up a little more than they wanted to the Miners offense but they were able to still produce a shoutout.
